APP SUPPORT
A little help?
Maybe Tonight requires iOS 17 or later. It records your experience; it never sends a request or message to your partner. The joke is on the awkward moment, not on anyone's right to say no.
Frequently asked questions
I tapped the main button. Why is there no entry?
The first tap opens the outcome choices. Pick an outcome to save the entry. Wait for the cloud-saved confirmation. If saving fails, the app shows an error so you can try again.
Why can't the app connect?
Check that your device can reach the internet. If you use a proxy or filter that blocks HTTPS, check its settings. Try opening this site's leaderboard too; if that cannot load either, the service may be temporarily unavailable.
How many times can I record a day?
One final outcome per calendar day. Choosing again replaces that day's result instead of adding another day. The service uses Shanghai time (UTC+8), including outside China, so all rankings share the same day boundaries.
I saved an entry. Why am I not on the leaderboard?
Entries are private by default. To appear, choose to join on the Leaderboard screen or in Settings. Only days matching the selected outcome and time period count. People with the same number of days share a rank.
Can other users see my private entries?
No. If you choose to join the leaderboard, only your username, total days, and rank are public. Individual entry dates and notes are not public. Server administrators can access the database when necessary; this service is not end-to-end encrypted.
How do I leave the leaderboard or delete data?
Turn off leaderboard participation in Settings. Delete individual entries in your journal, or permanently delete your anonymous identity and all associated entries at the bottom of Settings.
Can I recover my entries on another phone?
There is currently no sign-in or cross-device recovery. If you change devices or lose your anonymous credential, you cannot recover your old identity. The current iOS app does not have an export button; the authenticated API supports JSON export.
